Securing your customer data in a PCI DSS compliant platform
Create a batch file from unsecured environments (such as hard disks) to a PCI DSS compliant environment on BPOINT.
Step 1.
Log into BPOINT and and navigate to Transactions, then Batch payments.
Step 2.
Select How to create a batch file.
Step 3.
Select Download to view the BPOINT standard batch file format and leverage to create your batch file.
Select Download to view the BPOINT APCA batch file format for direct debiting bank accounts and leverage to create your batch file.
Once complete select Back to batch payments.
Step 4.
Once you’ve created your batch file, select New batch file.
Step 5.
You will be provided with two options for the new Batch file.
Upload existing batch file or Manually enter batch records.
Step 6.
Selecting Upload existing batch file and then Choose file will direct you to locate and Upload the batch file created using the batch file format from step 3.
Manual upload will direct you to name the batch file, enter the CRN, card number, expiry date, amount and order type for each. Press Save once all records have been included.
Step 7.
You will need to confirm the action of processing the batch file by clicking Process now or Schedule.
Process Now will process the file immediately.
Schedule will process the file on a date selected using the calendar and selecting Schedule.
Step 8.
You will be provided with an option to save the file for future use. Selecting Yes in the screen below will allow you to save the batch file information which can be used in the future.
Step 9.
If the file format is incorrect, you will be notified with an error message.
Step 10.
If the file format is correct you will see a success of upload.
Step 11.
The status of the uploaded batch file can be seen in My batch files, shown below. This file is currently within In Progress.
Step 12.
Once the batch file has been processed, the batch file will show under the Complete tab. If transactions are declined, this would be flagged within the Status column.
Step 13.
Selecting the Filename will show greater details of the batch status as shown below.
Select Download report to obtain a report of the batch file after processing. You will be presented with options to download the file.
Step 14.
Already created batch files that have been added to Batch library can be viewed by clicking on View Batch library.
Step 15.
All previously saved batch files will be shown under Batch file name. You can search for specific batch files by using Batch file name and Updated after.
Step 17.
Clicking the file name on step 15, will give you more detail of the batch file. Here you can Process the Batch file, Delete the batch file or Add additional records.
• Adding additional records will prompt you to add files as per step 5.
• Deleting the batch file will prompt confirmation before deleting.
• Processing the batch file will prompt you to process as per step 7.
