How it works
Step 1.
Create the QR Code
Generate an amount specific QR code for your customer to immediately scan and pay or generate a generic QR code to direct customers to your Hosted Payment Page.
Step 2.
Share the QR Code
Either show your customer the amount specific QR code for immediate payment or download and embed the generic QR code anywhere. The same QR code can be shared with many customers.
Step 3.
Receive the payment
View the successful payment via the BPOINT Back Office and receive the funds into your bank account.
Generating an amount specific QR Code
Step 1.
Logon to BPOINT and navigate to Transactions, then New Payment.
Step 2.
Enter the payment details, including Biller code, References, the Order type and Amount. Payment details shown will be reflective of your biller code configuration.
Step 3.
In the Payment section you have three options. Enter payment details, Send a payment request or Scan and pay. For QR code creation, select Scan and Pay.
Step 4.
Click Generate QR code and the unique QR code will appear on screen. This unique QR code will reflect all information inputted into Payment Details.
Generating a generic QR Code
Easily direct customers to your hosted payment page to complete a payment.
Step 1.
Navigate to Designer, then Payment page.
Step 2.
To obtain your generic QR code, click on the link shown under Obtain QR code.
Step 3.
Once clicked, your generic QR code will appear on screen.
Click on Download QR code to save to your computer.
The file will be saved as a .png file and can be used to share with your customers on relevant documents such as an invoice.
Generating a QR Code specific to a biller code
Easily direct customers to your hosted payment page to complete a payment.
Step 1.
Navigate to Designer, then Payment page.
Step 2.
Select a biller code from the biller code list.
Step 3.
Once selected, your biller code will be reflected on screen.
Step 4.
You can change the biller code using the drop-down list.
Step 5.
To obtain your biller code QR code, click on the link shown under Obtain QR code.
Step 6.
Once clicked, your biller code QR code will appear on screen.
Click on Download QR code to save to your computer. The file will be saved as a .png file and can be used to share with your customers on relevant documents such as an invoice.
Step 7.
Your customer can scan the QR code with their enabled smartphone and will be taken to your hosted payment page to make the payment.
As a merchant, this payment option allows your customer to enter their payment details without you capturing them and the numbers are truncated and tokenised within BPOINT ensuring you are PCI DSS compliant.
Additional information
You can customise the design of your payment page for each biller code. To edit, navigate to Designer, Payment page, select a biller code and then click edit in the preview area.
