Provide a customised solution
Customise subscriptions based on your customers’ needs, such as start and end dates, payment frequency, and have the ability to suspend payments for a duration that works for you and your customer.
Create a new Subscription
Step 1.
Log into BPOINT and navigate to Transactions and Subscriptions.
Step 2.
Select New subscription and then select Go to Customers.
Step 3.
Select the customer to create the subscription. If the customer is new, select New Customer. For the detailed process, please refer to the Customers how to guide.
Step 4.
Select New subscription.
Step 5.
Complete the fields to create the new subscription.
Step 6.
Select the Frequency from the drop-down options.
Step 7.
Select the Start date using the calendar.
Step 8.
Select the End date. Options include, no end date, end after an amount of payments or end on a specified date.
Step 9.
Select the payment method. If a payment method is saved against the customer record then it will be shown. If a payment method is not saved, you can add here by clicking Add payment method.
Step 10.
A window will appear to add the new payment method. You will be able to enter payment details or request payment details via email or SMS. Please note that SMS is only available on Enterprise package. Fees and Charges may apply to send SMS.
Step 11.
Once completed click Save.
Step 12.
A window will appear to confirm the details of the subscription. To edit, select Back. To complete, select Submit.
You can review applicable surcharges by clicking Surcharge may apply. Surcharges by Card type will be shown.
Step 13.
You will see a confirmation of the subscription being scheduled.
Step 14.
You can see the subscription against the customer’s profile by selecting View subscription.
Step 15.
Here you will see all subscriptions for that customer.
Step 16.
The customer will receive a communication to advise on the upcoming payment, including amount and scheduled payment date.
View details of ongoing Subscriptions
Step 1.
Log into BPOINT and navigate to Transactions and Subscriptions.
Step 2.
If you have any subscriptions with overdue payments, you can easily locate them by selecting Manage subscriptions in arrears.
Step 3.
You can search using the searchable fields. Once you have found the subscription you want, select that row of information to enter the subscription detail page.
Step 4.
The detail you can explore includes the associated customer, the subscription setups, the chosen payment method, and the status of all the processed scheduled payments for this subscription. Within Scheduled payments, you can view up to three recent transactions. If you would like to view more, select Click here to see scheduled payments history.
Step 5.
By clicking an individual scheduled payment row, you will see the specific transaction detail related to that payment. Selecting the Receipt number will show greater detail of the payment.
Step 6.
You will be able to view payment details and amount, transaction result and more. You can also process a refund or send a receipt.
Step 7.
Selecting Process refund will show an overlay to confirm refund amount and reason.
Step 8.
A confirmation will be displayed of the refund. You can send a receipt within this window, options are Print or email.
Step 9.
Selecting Send receipt will show an overlay to confirm how to send the receipt. Options are Print or email.
Step 10.
Below is an example of the email that are sent to your customer.
Step 11.
If payments are overdue for a subscription, you can see this in the scheduled payments history. Upon clicking on an overdue payment, you can see all the transactions that have been processed for this payment.
Step 12.
To resolve an overdue payment, you could either Retry payment or Cancel payment. If you retry a payment, it will retry using the existing payment method saved.
Step 13.
If you cancel a payment, you will see this payment is now marked as cancelled.
Update a Subscription
Step 1.
If you would like to update the subscription, you can do so using Update subscription.
Step 2.
You can change all the information for an existing subscription. Please ensure all the mandatory information is provided and select Save to confirm the updates.
Suspend a Subscription
Step 1.
If your customer would like to suspend the subscription for a number of payments or a period of time, it can be achieved via suspending subscription. You can select Suspend subscription to specify the detail of the suspension. The subscription will automatically reactivate after the suspension has passed.
Step 2.
Select the number of payments or date the suspension should last.
Step 3.
A confirmation will be shown once complete.
Step 4.
You can also manually resume the subscription using Resume subscription. A confirmation will be shown once clicked.
Cancel a Subscription
Step 1.
If your customer would like to completely cancel this subscription, you can allow that via Cancel subscription. Please note a cancelled subscription cannot be reinstated so please ensure you have confirmed with your customer regarding this cancellation.
Step 2.
Confirm the cancelation by selecting Cancel subscription.
Step 3.
A confirmation will be shown once complete.
